Class • A group of people within a society who share the same social and economic status
Outcast • Somebody who has been rejected by a group or by society
Legacy • Something that is handed down or remains from a previous generation or time.
Enlighten • To free someone from ignorance • To teach someone religion
Pariah • Somebody who has defied a social law and has therefore been rejected by a caste.
Reverence • Feelings of deep respect or devotion.
Monk • A man who withdraws from society &goes to live in a religious community to devote himself to prayer, solitude, & contemplation.
Monastery • A group of people, especially monks, living together &observing religious vows.
Meditation • The emptying of the mind of thoughts, or the concentration of the mind on one thing, in order to aid spiritual development.
Dalai Lama • In Tibetan Buddhism, the highest priest & until the Chinese occupation of Tibet in 1959, the traditional spiritual &secular ruler of Tibet.
