  1. Giving Directions Go straight up the block. It’s on the corner on your right hand.

  2. Excuse me. Where’s the bank? Turn right at the traffic light. It’s on your left (hand). You can’t miss it.

  3. Excuse me. How can I get to the post office? Take the first street on the left. You will see it on your left hand.

  4. Excuse me. Can you tell me how to get to Nantou Hotel? Sure. Go straight for two blocks. Then turn left. It’s on your right.

  5. Excuse me. Is there a bookstore around here? Yes. Go through/past the intersection. It’s on your right hand.

  6. Excuse me. I’m looking for the bus stop. Can you help me? Of course. Turn right at the corner, and you’ll see it on your left. You won’t miss it.

  7. Key points: 1. Go straight up/for/about two blocks. 2. Go through/past the intersection. 3. Take the first/second street on the left /right. 4. Turn right (Take a right) at the traffic light/corner/overpass. 5. It’s on your right/left (hand).
