Abstract • With the growth in Internet of Things and Hardware Testing, the focus on Testing is shifting more towards the more sophisticated and niche areas • With this the focus of this paper is widely divided into two sections namely • Testing as of today and • Testing – the way forward in future- Internet of Things and Hardware Testing

  3. Testing Expected Way Forward in Future-Testing Predictions IOT (Internet of Things) and Hardware Testing: The Internet of things is expected to integrate about 50 billion objects connected through the Internet by using some form of connectivity and responding to sensors in the environment. According to Jonathon Wright, the Director of Hitachi, “When we talk about the IOT, we are talking more about hardware than software. Being able to also test hardware is going to be a cultural change for testers.”

Author Biography Anjana Nambi is working with Capgemini, Chennai as a Consultant in Morgan Stanley client project, MIPL and earlier to that she was working on standard chartered bank ( Scope) project .She has an experience of more than 8 years in Functional/ Regression and exploratory testing. Software Engineering is her passion from her collegiate days and she wants to leave a mark wherever she works. She is happily married and has a child.
