GEM-Ames trial summary - 2010 • There are 342 GEM topcrosses that out-performed the yield of check means (10.9% of 3126 entries of topcrosses) • Of these 342 GEM topcrosses, 259 were from the first year tests and the rest from the second year tests or GEMxGEM tests • The range of CV’s for yield was from 9.3 to 17.2% (7.6-17.5% last year ) and the mean of the CV’s is 12.8 (up from last year 11.5) • Yield trial data - high lodging data again this year Germplasm Enhancement of Maize
