  1. The high priced Kindle 8.9’’ is getting cheaper but why…..? Amazon on Wednesday slashed down the starting price of its big-screen 8.9-in. Kindle Fire HD tablet in the U.S. to $269 for the Wi-Fi one and $399 for the 4G version. The price drops, from $299 for the Wi-Fi one and from $499 for the 4G version, were not a response to snail sales, a ​Kindle technical service​​ person said​. Rather, the company said that it is able to charge a lot less for the 8.9’’ device because it has increased volume of production and has seen reduced price in related costs as the Kindle Fire has gone on sale in Europe and Japan.
