STEM at USNA A Different Approach to Recruiting and Retaining TechnologistsMETHODOLOGY: Engage elementary/middle/high school students and teachers in a wide variety of science and engineering activities (camps, minicamps, competitions, site visits, short courses, internships) to initiate interest and enthusiasm for future STEM participation in academic and career choices, using outstanding USNA resources as a backdrop for the activities. Unique approach defined by a project based curriculum, focusing on current topics, and a pyramid structure with practicing technologists, educators, mentors at the top.
