  21. The Projects of Digitizing The Manuscripts in Turkey -- The total number of manuscripts preserved only in the libraries in Turkey is 300.000. This number is estimated as about 600.000 with the manuscripts preserved in archives, museums, mosques, foundations and by the persons. -- An appreciable progress can be seen in Turkish manuscript librarianship especially in the last ten years. Half of the total manuscript catalogues preserved in different information centers can be accessed on the web. The full text files of 73.794 manuscripts can be also reached on the web.
