  4. The Role of School Psychologists • Assist with early identification of problems • Psychological counseling • Collaborate with parents, teachers, health care providers • Assist in crisis intervention • Provide psychological assessments • Conduct research evaluations

  5. School Psychologists are Child Advocates School Psychologists play an integral role in improving the educational experience for all children. School psychologists collaborate with school personnel, local government agencies and parents to promote the mental health, learning and welfare of California’s youth. Students must have a healthy frame of mind on which to build a solid educational foundation.

  6. CASP Profile The California Association of School Psychologists, was founded in 1953 and is headquartered in Sacramento. CASP is the largest statewide organization of school psychologists in the nation. With membership of more than 2,500, CASP represents the interest of the state’s school psychologists – professionals dedicated to improving the mental health and educational experience for all students.
