  4. CX3 Neighborhoods In Santa Clara County, mapping has been completed in four neighborhoods: San Jose – Washington, University, Five Wounds/Brookwood Terrace South County – East Gilroy Three new neighborhoods two in San Jose and one in north county (Mountain View) are in process of completion.

  7. How did we choose our neighborhoods? Short and long-term goals: reasons we are doing CX3 and what we want to do with the data Natural overlap looking at both blue zones and existing initiatives Looked at neighborhoods that were part of San Jose’s Strong Neighborhood Initiative (SNI)

  10. Community in Action Team Castro School Service Area of Mountain View Community • Engaged the community in the CX3 process by recruiting the help of promotoras or “community health educators” from local Community Based Organizations and grassroots' community groups

Benefits and Value of Participating in CX3 • The maps and surveys provide hard evidence to support what we may know intuitively about the relationship between food access, marketing and media, and poverty in the community. • Opened door to other opportunities and enhanced partnerships. • Engage local residents in advancing community change to the built environment.
