DOE/HEP Policy on Data Preservation • There isn’t one. • Software and Computing for DOE/HEP experimental programs is funded as part of the “facility” • The details of the software and computing models, including long term access, are worked out between the experimental collaboration and host laboratory.

Here to listen and learn • This workshop/working group provides valuable information on • Use cases, their viability and the technical solutions required to support those uses cases • Encouraging to see a range of possible uses with a range of associated costs and mechanisms and time scales. • The level of community interest and consensus • Technical solutions and their feasibility. • Ramifications of providing long term accessibility to data. • The policies and programs of other funding agencies.
