  3. 光电池按材料分，有硅、硒、硫化镉、砷化镓和无定型材料的光电池等。按结构分，有同质结和异质结光电池等。光电池中最典型的是同质结硅光电池。国产同质结硅光电池因衬底材料导电类型不同而分成2CR系列和2DR系列两种。2CR系列硅光电池是以N型硅为衬底，P型硅为受光面的光电池。受光面上的电极称为前极或上电极，为了减少遮光，前极多作成梳状。衬底方面的电极称为后极或下电极。为了减少反射光，增加透射光，一般都在受光面上涂有SiO2或MgF2，Si3N4，SiO2－MgF2等材料的防反射膜，同时也可以起到防潮，防腐蚀的保护作用。
