Petal’s Ocular Problem • Medication • Methazolamide 25 mg BID (Decreases fluid production) • 2% Pilocarpine on food BID (Increases outflow) • April 18, 2012 • Added Prednisolone Acetate drops for eyes • Increased Methizolamide to 50 mg BID • Dr. Moore examined Petal in June and modified her treatment: • Prednisolone Acetate (same) • Stop Pilocarpine • Add Latanoprost ( outflow) • Add Dorzolamide ( production) • Stop Methazolamide • *Drops must be separated by 5 minutes…takes 10-15 minutes twice a day

  6. Petal’s Ocular Problem • Petal’s prognosis— • Vision will not return • If eyes are not causing her discomfort (think massive headache)--continue medication • If medication cannot control pressures—surgery • Questions?
