  2. Problem • Mobile revolution in India led to sharp decline in cost of SMS/Call • It makes sense to advertise on mobile. • Spam SMS and calls. • Gross infringement of customer’s privacy.

Solution(by TRAI) • All tele-marketeers should register with TRAI. • Customers can register for DND(Do Not Disturb). • If even after registering, they get spam, they can file a complaint by: • Noting down details – date, time, content, etc. • Create a SMS with a very complex format. • Send to 1909

  4. Problem with solution • Too much effort. • The format is too complex. Almost impossible to get the format correct while typing. • Each operator has his own implementation of operator.
