Appendix 5 Step 2:Place water, soil and birdseed into a container, just like the container in the photo above Step 1:Measure out ¼ cup of water, ½ cup of soil and 1 cup of bird seed Step 3:Mix all the ingredients together, place container in the freezer Step 4:When the mixture is frozen complete steps 1 to 3, this time don't place the container in the freezer. • Materials Required: • Measuring containers, ¼, ½ and 1 cups containers • Bird seed • Water • Dirt from the garden • Two containers • 1 mixing spoon • Tongs/tweezers • Educator to follow steps 1 to 5, ensuring that there is enough for groups of four. Will need approximately 6 to 8 sets.
