Initiatives Over Last One Year • Strategy meet- brainstorming with all advisory groups and committees • Successful implementation of 2019 education curriculum • Enhanced collaboration with other actuarial professional bodies • Launch of Actuarial Job Portal (AJP), a digital solution to connect IAI members with employers • Extensive usage of webinars to enhance the engagement and involvement of actuaries in wider areas like Banking and Data Science & Analytics • Setup of Webex video conference system in IAI office • Skills upgradation initiatives: R software, excel training for members

Five Big & Brave (B&B) Goals B&B goals to be achieved over the next 3 years: • Well Recognized Profession amongst Public, Government and other professional Bodies •  Target 30,000 student members by 2022 • Target 750 qualified Actuaries by 2022 • India Specific Study Material by 2021 • Leadership in: • Data Science and Analytics • Risk Analytics – Insurance, Banking & Finance • Enterprise Risk Management beyond insurance

Way Forward • Increase the frequency of ACET Examinations • Proactive engagement with Government Bodies to enhance awareness about actuarial profession and potential value that actuaries can add to various social sector schemes • Proactive direct engagement with the Universities and colleges and enhance awareness about the Actuarial Profession as career • Marketing the Actuarial profession via digital media to attract best talent to take up actuarial profession • Providing the profession’s expertise into wider areas like Banking, Data Science & Analytics and Risk Management beyond insurance • Placement support at IAI

Student Support Scheme (3S)For Armed Forces • IAI’s support to the families of those who sacrifice their lives for the country • Existing Student Support Scheme benefits made more beneficial to next of kin of martyrs from defence and security forces • Family income criteria is exempted for next of kin of martyrs • Army, Navy & Air Force • Assam Rifles • Border Security Force. Ideation Program •  IAI comprises of young members who are full of fresh ideas and also tenured actuarial resources who have been in the profession for a while • Creating an ecosystem to infuse fresh ideas in the institute • Involvement of all IAI members which in turn could help IAI in furthering its vision of growing the profession • Member can submit their ideas on the institute website under member login www.actuariesindia.org

Felicitation of Senior Actuary • On Actuaries Day,  every year IAI felicitates senior Actuaries • Actuaries who have attained or crossed 75 years of age • Last year 49 senior actuaries were felicitated • This year only on Sr. Actuary falls in the category of 75+ years – Shri.
