INSTRUCTIONS TO SOLVE CITRIX CONNECTION PROBLEMS In order to solve a citrix connection problem you will find in this document different solutions. When following each step we recommend you to be assisted by your local IT support.
GENERAL VERIFICATIONS Check the following items: A- Disable Windows XP firewall B- If you are using a firewall on your LAN network, please leave open ports:- 80- 443- 444 C- On Internet Properties, go to Content tab page and press Clean SSL state button. D- Delete all cookies and delete all temporary internet files. E- Try to connect to Citrix
SOLUTION 1 To associate the Citrix program with the ICA Launch, follow these steps: 1) Right click on 'Start' at bottom of screen. 2) Left click on 'Explore'. 3) Click on 'Tools' from menu bar. 4) Click on 'Folder Options'. 5) Select the 'File Types' tab 6) Scroll down to 'ICA - Citrix ICA Connection' and left click on it. 7) In the details section, this connection should open with 'Citrix ICA Client Engine (Win32)'. 8) If any other program is displayed here, click on 'Change' to bring up 'Open With' dialog box. 9) Select 'Citrix ICA Client Engine (Win32)' from the list and click 'OK'. 10) Click 'OK' or 'Close' on 'Folder Options' box. 11) Try connect to Citrix.
SOLUTION 2 • Open Internet Explorer • Select the Tools Menu • Select Internet Options • Click the Advanced Tab • Ensure that ‘ Do not save encrypted pages to disk’ is unmarked (see below). • Try to connect to Citrix
SOLUTION 3 Reinstall ICA Client 1- Go to our FAQs site: http://main.maruba.com.ar/lineCS/FAQs/Index.htm 2- Follow instructions on -> Item C1) I can not connect to Cyrix. Download the last certificate and IcaClient. 3- Try to connect to Citrix.
SOLUTION 4 On the Windows XP-Based Client 1. Start Registry Editor (Regedit.exe). 2. Locate and then click the following key in the registry: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\MSLicensing 3. Delete the whole MSLicensing key from the registry. 4. Quit Registry Editor. 5. Connect to Citrix MetaFrame.
SOLUTION 5 This solution fix the Certificate problem: SSL 61: On the Windows Vista-Based Client Bear in mind, the Ica Client is not the same than other windows clients. You should install the correct ica client (at this moment, ver 10.0) Installing the certificate: When double click in the certificate, don’t leave the default options, select “Place all certificates in the following store”
SOLUTION 5 And select “Trusted root Certification Authorities” Check if the certificate is installed properly: Go to Internet Explorer, Tools, Internet Options, Content, Certificates, and check If the certificate appears in the tab “Trusted Root …” If don’t, go to next solution.
SOLUTION 6 Solving problems of certificate installation: Go to “run” and excecute MMC (microsoft management console) Console Add – Remove Snap In Add select Certificates Add Computer account Local Computer Finish Close Ok Right click on “Trusted Root Certificates Authorities” and All task import Next Browse select the certificate and install it. This is the other way to install the certificate.
