  1. ACTIVITY TWO You are a monastery inspector working for Henry in 1538. You have been sent to Fountains Abbey in North Yorkshire, with the job of finding as many examples of monks behaving naughtily as you can. Write a SHORT report of your findings at Fountains Abbey. Remember, your report must be sent back to Cromwell, and it must be bad enough to excuse closing Fountains Abbey down! Words that you could use in your report…. fornication (having sex) sacrilegious behaviour! (behaviour that disrespects God) gambling virtuous (being well behaved and good) relics (objects that are supposed to be holy but aren’t really eg. this is a holy relic – a piece of cloth that Jesus wore when he was crucified!) corrupt (turned bad/dodgy) poverty (being very poor) And more words meaning ‘bad behaviour’….vile, atrocious, wicked, shameful, irreligious, debased, immoral , scandalous, sinful
