  4. Illness • Within a year of being a priest Vivaldi no longer wanted to attend mass • Said reason was due to “chest pains” • Pointed to angina pectoris, asthmatic bronchitis, or a nervous disorder Winter

  8. Death • He died in Vienna, Austria on July 28, 1741 • He died of heart attack • He suffered asthmatic bronchitis his entire life • Buried in a paupers grave, forgotten • Like Mozart, received a modest burial fifty years later Double Cello
