APT - 1 • Improving working methods, Modification to ITU-T Rec A.7 • Joint Coordination Activities (JCA) & Global Standardization Initiatives (GSI) to address important participation topics across SG’s • Outcomes of PP-10 Resolution 178 “ITU role in organizing the work on technical aspects of telecommunication networks to support the Internet” • Structure of Study Groups • Term of SG Chairs & Vice Chairs Revision of Res.35 • Review of WTSA 08 Resolutions • Protocols & Test Specifications of SG11 • Bridging the Standardization Gap (BSG): • Remote participation encouraging participation • Digital divide on ICT development & access • Migration from legacy networks to new standards • IPv6 • Cybersecurity • Revision of ITU-T Rec E.161 (Mapping Standards for languages other than English)

RCC General agreement to: • support no changes to the current SG structure. • prepare a proposal regarding deadlines for submission of documents. • review Recommendation A.7. • number of vice-Chairmen. • review various Resolutions • Examine issues of concern and develop Regional proposals • NGN, Security & Regulatory Issues • Enhance participation in ITU-T, emerging activities; including accessibility and Cybersecurity

  6. AFR • Issues to be covered: • Review WTSA 08 outcomes • ‘Hot Topics’, including NGN, Convergence, IP-based platforms, ICT’s and climate change, Conformance and interoperability. • ICT standardization gaps in the African Region • Examine issues of concern & develop Regional proposals

  7. CEPT • SG & Question restructuring: CEPT prefer 8 SGs (merger of SG9+16 and SG11+13 advantages ?) , • Possible alternative proposal for changes (re FG) if 10 SGs remain. A.7 will be studied as well. • Questions, proposals have been submit to SG17, SG2 and SG5 meetings and will continue to other SG meeting. • Revision of WTSA Resolutions: • Res 47 (ccTLD) and 48 (IDN) - merge, and move IDN also under SG2 responsibility . • Res. 50 (Cybersecurity) – add text on cooperation with other orgs. • Res. 64 (IPv6) – remove instruction to SG 2&3, focus on capacity building in cooperation with other orgs. • WTSA Resolutions implementation status: • identify the Res of priority to CEPT

ARB-1 • no changes to the current SG structure. • review Recommendation A.7. • review various Resolutions. • Accreditation of ARB Labs (ISO 17025) • CERT Tunisia: Capacity building & regional test Lab. • Newcomer orientation for a summary of the key issues to be discussed by the SG (SG Counselor) • Proposed an Inter-sector rapporteur group • Further awareness of Academia programme and Further reduction of Academia fees for LDC • Where should gaming standards be developed? Relationship with COP?

ARB-2 • Consolidation of WTSA Resolutions related to Developing Countries. • Revision of mode-operandi of Regional Groups. • Revision of the functionality of flagship groups and its effectiveness. • Alternate Calling Procedures, CPND and Misuse of NNAI. • Enhancement to Res. 71 on participation of Academia. • Revision of Res. 35 on Chairmen and Vice Chairmen appointment and terms. • Consideration of Revs. to some other Resolutions
