A modern fleet • In addition to our current fleet of 154 vessels we have an extensive newbuild programme in progress including the following vessels: • 8 x 8,100 teu vessels on charter, which are due to enter services in the Europe-Asia and Transpacific trades from late 2004 onwards; • 2 x 4,800 teu vessels on charter, which are due to enter the Europe-South Africa service in 2005; • 2 x 1,800 teu vessels for use in Brazil for the Mercosul trade from 2007 onwards.

Terminal Developments We have a number of terminals that are operational: • Port Newark, New Jersey (PNCT) - 50 per cent shareholding; • Calgliari, Italy (CICT) - 25 per cent shareholding; • Colombo, Sri Lanka (SAGT) - 10 per cent shareholding. In addition we are involved with the following projects, currently under development:. • Deurganckdok, Antwerp, Belgium - first phase due to be operational mid 2005; • Euromax Rotterdam, The Netherlands - due to be operational end 2007. We are also evaluating terminal investments in Los Angeles, China and South Africa.
