Hunting controls and keeps wildlife Populations healthy.

Conservation U.S. loses 80,000 acres of wetland habitat annually.
Hunting is good for the Environment!
H.I.P. “Migratory Bird Harvest Information Program (HIP) is a method by the State Wildlife Agency and the Fish and Wildlife Service are developing more reliable estimates of the # of migratory birds harvested throughout the country. These estimates give biologists the info they need to make sound decisions concerning hunting seasons, bag limits, and population managements.” (www.fws.gov/hip/index.html)
Hunting hours are one half hour before sunrise to sunset.
Duck Hunting Season: October 14, 2006 – January 27, 2007 The combined daily limit on all ducks is 7, including not more than two hen mallards, one pintail, one canvasback, three scaup, and two redheads. The possession limit is twice the daily limit. (7/14)
Goose Hunting Season: October 21, 2006 – January 28, 2007 Canada and White Fronted Geese limit 3/6. Snow and Ross Geese Limit 4/8.
