Research Assistant in CFD for Flight Mechanics The CFD Laboratory, part of Flight Science and Technology, at the University of Liverpool is active in researching the development and application of CFD to unsteady flow problems relevant to fixed and rotary wing aircraft. A vacancy for a postdoctoral researcher is available, starting from May, 2006 and extendable subject to contracts up to 33 months. The post will involve the development of techniques to allow use of CFD for flight mechanics applications, and will require interaction within a wider international effort. Development of CFD methods and data driven models will be involved. Previous experience with one or more of CFD development, scientific computing and flight mechanics is desirable.
