Pluto’s discovery • Pluto was the only planet discovered in the twentieth century (1930). • The only planet discovered by the U.S. • Clyde Tombaugh discovered Pluto. • Pluto has 5 moons : Charon, Nix, Hydra, Kerberos and Styx. • The last 2 moons weren’t discovered until 2012.

Spacecraft to Pluto New Horizons is a spacecraft. It left Earth January 19, 2006. It will see Pluto in July 2015. It will take pictures.
