Forced and Unforced Errors. Idea is originally from Tennis Major factor in Tennis. Unforced error: player hits the ball in the net or out of bounce and there was no tough shot Forced error: player was forced by his opponent to hit it in the net or out of bounce, after a tough shot .

  2. Unforced error: player hits the ball in the net or out of bounce and there was no tough shot • Forced error: player was forced by his opponent to hit it in the net or out of bounce, after a tough shot

  3. And for Basketball? • Unforced errors: • 24 seconds violation • Travelling • Bad pass which leads to a Turnover • Missed lay up/dunk • Missed FT • Missing wide open shot

  4. Forced Errors: • Steal (good defense) leads to TO • Good Defense leads to missed shot • Bad shot because time is running out
