About us • Mission: Isha Vidhya aims to provide high quality school education to rural children who cannot otherwise access or afford it. • Vision: A holistic, activity-based approach nurtures children’s development beyond just academics, ensuring that students realize their full potential and learn in a joyful manner. • History & Journey till date: • 1st School in Santhegoundanpalayam Village, Coimbatore District in 2006 • 9 rural schools (8 in TN and 1 in AP) with 5820 children • 58% on scholarship, 47% girls • 40 Govt. Schools in 4 districts of TN impacting more than 28000 children. • Founder: Sadhguru JaggiVasudev is a visionary and a humanitarian whose life has been dedicated to promoting the physical, mental and inner well being of thousands of people through the powerful science of yoga.

Schools - Key Interventions Critical interventions in 40 rural government schools in the districts of Coimbatore, Dharmapuri, Kanchipuram and Salem of Tamil Nadu, benefiting over 28,000 students. Initiatives include: • Hiring and training teachers to fill critical gaps in the classrooms • Providing special assistance to slow learners by hiring extra teachers • Improving children’s English language skills through special methodologies • Infusing hitherto neglected aspects like sports, yoga, environmental education, health and hygiene into school life, which, besides helping holistic development, also enhance a child’s interest in school. • Training of Govt. school teachers, both regular and remedial using IshaVidhya methods

  11. Impact Stories/Sharing Harini is the daughter of an electrician who earns Rs.200/- as his daily wage and he gets to earn only for 15 - 20 days in a month. His irregular income does not meet the family expense and they live under the poverty line. Her mother is a house wife. Harini also has a younger sister Swetha studying in UKG in Isha Vidhya under the scholarship program. “As a laborer I never imagined this quality of education with computers and modern learning systems. Now I have hope for my son’s future. This scholarship is God’s gift to my family through you.” Mr. VenkateshSubramaniam, father of Logesh, student at Isha Vidhya.
