Our Motivations for This Presentation • A few years ago, both of us attended on a presentation on biblical integration. We were disappointed with the fact that there seemed to be a sense that any fealty to academic rigor was frowned upon; rather Sunday school style lessons seemed to be prized. • For us, this seemed to reinforce the negative perception outside of Christianity that the Christian school and academic excellence were mutually exclusive. • As IB teachers, we felt that there was a need to really challenge this assumption. • Other influences...personal experiences, readings.
