  2. DT personnel matters • Two technical students arrived. • Lucia CASTILLO GARCIA (ESP), (shares office with Didier Piedigrossi). Project LHCb RICH/TORCH photodetector characterization. Supervisor Thierry Gys. • Anastasia XYDOU (GR), cooling lab. Project: Leak detection/in-situ neutralization. Supervisor: Paola Tropea. • New fellow, Markus GABRYSCH (DE), Simulation and Characterization of silicon sensors for the LHC upgrade“, supervisor: Michael Moll, start 1 Feb. • Fellow position (2 years) from Marie Curie network MC-PAD was transferred from PSI to CERN. Project: ATLAS ALFA and AX-PET. Supervisor CJ, start 1 Jan. • Fellowship contract extensions Aurelie Maurisset (6 m) and Alessandro La Rosa (3 m) • Antoine Guipet (bondlab) will leave group on 31 January 2011. No IC position was available. • Projects • We agreed with ESE group (Electronics Systems Engineering) that Gilles Maire will support two ESE activities: • NA62 electronics infrastructure: Evaluate the needs for refurbishment of the general electronics and electrical infrastructure for the NA62 experiment. • Upgrade of the interface between the CMS Beam Conditions Monitor (BCM) and the beam interlock system (BIS).
