  4. Global Digital Library (GDL) • An information, training and support network with 10,000 e-libraries in developing countries • A consortium/alliance of agencies, NGO’s, faith-based orgs, educational institutions and private for-profit corporations providing development resources

  5. GDL Library Network • Library Server Centers • Remote Library Workstations • Regional Support Centers • Information Clearinghouse and Operational Center

  6. GDL Information Services • Information Resources with database focused on sustainable community development • Communications Access with institutional resources • Capacity Building Process-Oriented Program with planning, leadership and distance-learning capabilities

International Consortium on Religion and Ecology (ICORE) providing: Endorsement of agencies Collaboration of faith communities Funding services for developing capital and resource campaign EcoSage Corporation providing: Project management services and Project management software ICORE with systems integration and administration Consortium Co-Developers

  8. Project Marketing for Faith-Based Markets • ICORE will market digital library services directly to faith donor and mission agencies • ICORE with EcoSage support will market congregation/parish, etc. membership to DLN network

  9. ICORE Marketing Activities • ICORE will announce GDL project in Fall 2000 in New York at United Nations • ICORE will conduct a capital campaign feasibility study in September 2000 • ICORE will launch capital funding program by mid-October 2000 • ICORE will sponsor a national forum of faith-based donor agencies in early 2001

Orblynx Activities • Orblynx will provide pro-bono initial equipment and connectivity for demo sites • Orblynx will provide space segment and receive-only ground station equipment at competitive costs. • Orblynx will provide ICORE with training and technical backup for train-the-trainers program for overall support systems • Orblynx will provide training in systems administration and program related investment to support demo project & national capital campaign

  11. Project Financing • Funding of Concept Development • Project Development Stages: + $250,000 (program related investment) + $750,000 (funding for campaign launch) +$1,000,000 (equity loan) • Project Funding Sustainability

  12. Memorandum of Agreement • What do we need to do? • Within what time frame? • How is it to be funded and begun? • What funding schedule are we committed to?
