History of the Department • Year of Establishment : 2003 • Initial Allotment of seats : 60 • To cater to the needs of Corporate, the strength has been increased to 120 from the year 2009 • With the establishment of Krishna University, Machilipatnam in 2008, KBN College PG Centre has been affiliated to Krishna University from the year 2009-10. • Since its inception the department has Competent, Qualified and Experienced faculty. • The Management Program of the college has emerged as the flag ship programme in a very limited period.
Our Intellectual Capital is our Faculty • Four Faculty Members have PhDs. • Two Faculty Members have M.Phils. • 15 Full Time well qualified and experienced Faculty Members.
INFRASTRUCTURE and LEARNING RESOURCES • Department Library with 206 titles . • 48 Journals both national and international. • The Magazines relating to GK and Competitive Examinations are made available to the students preparing for the competitive exams. • A Computer Laboratory with 60 computers to cater to the needs of the students. • The Wi-Fi facility has been provided to the Faculty and students. • The Department is provided with LCD Projectors.

Highlights of the Department • 48 International/National Journals on management are available to the students. • Conducting industrial visits to the students of both first and final year. • A prestigious annual event “Management Aptitude & Skills Test” (MAST) • Inviting the Eminent Academicians and renowned industrialists to deliver the guest lectures on current issues in Business . • Conducting sessions on personality development and business etiquette by the experts in the concerned field • Conducting co-curricular and extracurricular activities and encouraging students to participate in Inter–collegiate and Inter-University competitions. • Business Lab Sessions.

Innovative Activities • Started MEET THE EXECUTIVE PROGRAMME with activities- once in two moths. • Established Entrepreneurship Development Cell with a faculty Coordinator with activities at regular intervals. • Communication and soft skills classes are being conducted continuously to the students to enhance their communication Skills . • Stock market reviews and Online trading simulation classes are being conducted. • Various surveys on Marketing and HR areas are conducted . • Organizing HR Games by establishing a HR Lab. • Suggestions are being invited from Parents of students.
Placements • Placements are being provided with the help of Career Guidance and Placement Cell of our college. • Our recruiters include IBM,Capital IQ, Andhra Bank, HDFC, CiplaPharmaGenpact, Google and the like. • This year around 75 students have already been short listed for different companies. • 2012-14 – Four students already placed, 3 in Genpactand 1 in Google.

Future Plans • Strengthening Quality Circles to enhance quality service delivery systems in our Centre. • More emphasis will be given to Institution – Industry tie up • More MOUs and linkages for Placements and Training • The Department is a recognized Centre for Research in Management and embark upon a number of research projects to be taken up by the staff members. • Planning to develop our management department as management training & development centre to cater to the training & development needs of the local industry and Business Community
Course Structure & Assesment • Two Year Four Semester Programme with dual specialization with Finance and HR specialization and Marketing as core. • 8 Papers in each semester. • Summer project for 6 weeks at the end of 2nd semester. • Study tours. • Comprehensive Viva. • 30% Internal Assessment. 70% Semester end external examination. • Out of 30 marks: 20 marks mid semtests.One mid sem test is on line, 5 marks for attendance, 5 marks for classroom performance.
