  2. I Corinthians 15:57,58 57  But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. 58 Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord.

  3. 1. Back at the Victories: (vs.57) Christ’s resurrection is VICTORY over…… …sin, death, hell and the grave. …destroyed the power of the devil: Heb2:14-15 …removed the curse from us: Gal 3:13 Rev. 20:14 and 21:4

  4. 2. Forward toward Steadfastness: (vs.58) • Steadfast: (to be seated; settled and firmly situated. • Immoveable: (a stronger word than steadfast; totally unchangeable, motionless. Holding your position. • Be not shaken or agitated with the strifes; the temptations, and the cares of life. Be fixed in the faith

Laboring in the Know: • Always (all the time) “Abounding” – exceeding in the expectations; overflowing, overdoing. • Engaged in the “doing” of the will of God. • Advancing the Kingdom from every vantage point of life. • Excelling in ‘Labor’ or “Overtime” in the appropriate duties of the Christian.

  6. Application: Continue: • "As the Father hath loved me, so have I loved you: continue ye in my love" (John 15:9). Be Watchful • "But watch thou in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, make full proof of thy ministry" (2 Tim. 4:5). Run with Patience: • "Wherefore, seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us" (Hebrews 12:1). Hold On, Be Stronger and Stronger: • "The righteous also shall hold on his way, and he that hath clean hands shall be stronger and stronger" (Job 17:9).
