  4. AFDD 2-5 • Assets…help shape operations by giving commanders a superior ability to assess situations and take appropriate action. Information-in-Warfare …involves the AF’s extensive capabilities to provide global awareness throughout the range of military operations based on integrated intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) assets; information collection/dissemination activities; and global navigation and positioning; weather; and communications capabilities.

  5. Precision Navigation and Positioning (PNP) • have enhanced accuracy of weaponsand delivery platforms • provide air, space and IO/IW operations the capability to attack targets in sensitive areas • greatly reduces the number of aircraft and sorties required to neutralize or destroy a target

  6. Space Support • Space support for IO is provided by the Commander in Chief, United States Space Command through the Commander, Air Force Space Command • Operational tasking of Air Force space systems is made through the joint air operations center to the Air Force Space Command’s Aerospace Operations Center
