Explanation • Project Team – same project team that worked on Phase I • Why are we doing this project? • Continuation of the work that needs completed as part of the AHU # 9 installation that happened this past summer. • Historically, SHDH has had multiple HVAC issues, a common theme is problems maintaining a comfortable temperature in the building. • Too cold in the summer and too hot in the winter!! • Building systems will be more efficient and sustainable
Project Scope & Phasing • Phase 2 (April 2014 – August 2014) • Much more intensive than Phase I • Work will begin on the ground floor, and we will work our way up floor by floor. • All work will occur in the evening (11PM – 7AM) • Will need access to majority of rooms on the perimeter of the building. • Will be a coordinated effort between, contractor, security, operations and housekeeping • In selected rooms, we will be completing the following work • New thermostat installations “T” • Ceiling work – “C” • Radiator work – “R”

Computer can remain on desk. • Remove all pictures from the walls • Remove all items from floor, so workmen can set up ladders • Protection will installed each night while work is occurring • Impact: • Will have access to office each day. But at times there will be ceilings out of place • Might be a period of temperature fluctuations while work is being completed. • Schedule • May – Mid August see attached spreadsheet for details. • Contractor will need access for 10 days depending on location
“R” – Radiator work • Scope: • Installation of new valves on existing radiators and bypass piping • Prep work • All furniture in front of the radiator must be relocated in the room while work occurs • Remove personal and breakable items from your desk • Remove all items from floor, so workmen can access space safely • Impact: • Will have access to office each day.
