  9. Introduction to Anatomy and Physiology Chapter 1

  10. Think of sports. • What type of things might we study in Anatomy and Physiology with regards to sports?

  11. Turn in any documents you haven’t turned in yet • Think back to a word you defined on Friday. Tell someone next to you what is was and what it means.

  12. Create a Bumper Sticker • Look through the book and find something interesting to you • Create a drawing or redraw an image to put on a bumper sticker • You can add captions or use a creative saying. • Use color pencils/crayons/pens

  16. Body Systems • Skeletal System • Muscular System • Nervous System • Endocrine System • Cardiovascular System • Lymphatic System • Respiratory System • Digestive System • Urinary System • Reproductive System

  17. Body Systems • For every body system, we will always learn both • ANATOMY (STRUCTURE) • How its built, what it looks like • PHYSIOLOGY (FUNCTION) • How it works, what it does

  18. Body Systems Cards and Notes • To get an understanding of the human body and systems that make it up we will be using a series of cards to create a table with that will eventually include your notes for this section • You will use a System Card, an Anatomy card, and a Physiology card for each body system • Then complete the Notes Chart

  19. Introduction to Body Systems: Group Presentations • In your assigned group, you will: • Prepare a presentation on your assigned body system that will include • An oral presentation of assigned information • A labeled visual aid (drawing)
