  2. Ateneo Youth Economics Summit Ateneo YES!

  3. Ateneo Youth Economics Summit is a conference for third and fourth year high school students all over Metro Manila. The conference will consist of talks, group dynamics, a quiz bee, and an extemporaneous speech competition provided by the Economics Department and Ateneo Economics Association.

  4. AEA TUTORIALS

  5. Project Description -“AEA TUTORIALS/REMEDIAL CLASSES” is a project of AEA under the Academics, Research and Development Department. The project, which is very academic in nature, hopes to instruct interested AEA members and Ateneans who find certain Economic subjects, theories and concepts complicated, difficult and intricate. The project is exclusively oriented towards EC102, EC111, EC116, EC112, EC117 and EC115. Other economic subjects can be granted tutorials upon request.

  6. BiyahAEAra

  7. Project Description BiyahAEAra (EcoTours) is an annual project of AEA. It is an observation tour of the BSP and the ADB conducted for all Ateneo Eco102, Macroeconomics, and Money and Banking students who are interested in the workings and technicalities of the country’s premier bank—the BangkoSentralngPilipinas; and the development efforts against poverty of the Asian Development Bank which is based here in our country. Moreover, it provides a first-hand experience that would allow the students to explore the comings and goings of the BSP and ADB.

  8. Objectives 1. To awaken the interest of students with respect to economics from a different light, this time, away from the usual classroom scenario into active learning, by involving them in the learning process itself. 2. To promote association and camaraderie among economics students from different classes and year levels. 3. To tap and unlock a different career path that the students might want to consider especially for those who are interested in money and banking or development economics.

  9. AEA BLOG

  10. Project Description The AEA blog was present in last school year’s projects; it had interesting and well-researched economic news and information. Although grounded in basic economic literature, the research articles lacked the simplicity and palatability of other more mainstream economic blogs available in the world wide web. This year, the AEA blog will be undergoing a major overhaul in terms of content and presentation. Other issues such as the lack of contributors to the blog will also be addressed.

  11. Tutorial Forum The AEA Tutorials Forum is a project under the Academics, Research and Development Department of the Ateneo Economics Association. It aims to build upon the AEA Tutorials project through online supplementation, consultation and discussions. The forum will be patterned after http://austrianforum.com/ and other online economics discussion boards in the internet.
