Information General Information • Why ICAO could offer their Reproduction, Sales and Distribution services to other UN and International Agencies ? • Due to a new policy on publication production, this has created an unused capacity that ICAO could now offer to other UN and International Agencies • A Printing Pool of UN and International Agencies has been created in Montreal. • ICAO Reproduction, Sales and Distribution Services are flexible to accommodate single unit jobs, partnership agreements or memorandum of understanding and service level agreements.

History International Civil Aviation Organization /Printing and Distribution services • ICAO was created in 1944 to promote the safe and orderly development of international civil aviation throughout the world • ICAO serves the forum for cooperation in all fields of civil aviation among its 190 Contracting States • ICAO Reproduction, External Distribution and Document Sales services have more than 60 years of experience. • ICAO produces approximately 60 new publications every year and most of them are translated and printed in the 6 official languages of the United Nations Organization. (English, French, Spanish, Russian, Arabic and Chinese) • Up to 2004, the operational production results of the ICAO Reproduction Section was measured at between 80 and 100 million pages impressions per year. • Since 2005, with the introduction of a new ICAO policy on publication production as well as implementing print on demand services, ICAO succeeded to reduce their total number of printed pages by 35%. • The result of this new policy created excess production capacity that ICAO could now offer to other UN and International Agencies.
