  2. Adjective Agreement • In French, adjectives agree in both number and gender to the nouns they modify. • What does this mean?

  3. How adjectives agree • Adjectives agree with the noun they are describing. • Gender: when the noun is feminine the adjective is spelled in the feminine form.This usually means that an e is added to the masculine form. ex. Le football américain La fille américaine

  4. How adjectives agree • Adjectives agree with the noun they are describing. 2. number: when the noun is plural the adjective is spelled in the plural form.This usually means that an s is added to the singular form. ex. Les stylos américains (masculine) Les filles américaines (feminine)
