  3. COVER PAGE (1 page) • Self made • No print outs allowed • Do not over do miniature designs • Clearly mention topic, your full name, standard & section • Topic may be made creative

  4. ACKNOWLEDGEMENT (1 page) • Thanking teacher, parents, siblings, friends, board, school, God… • Serious tone or humourous tone

  5. INDEX (1-2 pages) • Standard 3 Columns

  6. INTRODUCTION (1-2 PAGES) • Move towards the topic, informally to formally

  7. BODY (8-12 pages) • Structure the main contents in paragraphs, bullet points, tables & graphs

  8. CONCLUSION/DEDUCTION/INFERENCE(1-2 PAGES) • Gradually moving out of the topic • Overall summing up • Your personal views on the topic

  9. PICTURE GALLERY (2-6 pages) • Affix relevant pictures. • Avoid hazy ones. • Add a descriptive paragraph to it. • At least label them properly. (NOTE: Instead of Picture Gallery, you may also add pictures to the page facing relevant contents.)

  10. BIBLIOGRAPHY (1 page) • Referred resources with details of book, author & page numbers. • Complete URL address incase referred from internet sites. • Details of the CD ROMS, Educational DVDs if referred.

  11. REMARKS (1 page) • Keep an additional page at the end for the evaluator’s remarks (if any)

  12. PROJECT TOPIC • Any ONE out of the several options mentioned in the ICSE Syllabus Book.

  13. ASSESSMENT • Will be done as per the prescribed norms of ICSE Board 1) Preparation/Research 2) Information 3) Concepts 4) Inference/Thinking Skills 5) Presentation

  14. Project Topic # 1 • How does contemporary cinema help us in understanding the pre-modern past? Present your analysis on any film pertaining to a historical personage or period (i.e. Jodha Akbar)

  15. Project Topic # 2 • Present a brief history of any of these monuments : • Buddhist Caves, Ajanta; • Iron Pillar, Mehrauli; • Gol Gumbaz, Bijapur; • Mattencherry Synagogue, Cochin; • Kamakhya Temple, Guwahati; • St. Thomas Bacsilica, Chennai; • Tower of Silence, Mumbai.

  16. Project Topic # 3 • How does the Indian Constitution protect the Rights of Children, Women, Minorities and Weaker Sections.

  17. Project Topic # 4 • Discuss the Cultural Efflorescence of the Renaissance Period.

  18. Project Topic # 5 • Make a Comparative Study of the Harappan and the Mesopotamian Civilisations.

  19. Project Topic # 6 • Describe the functioning of the Local Self-Government in your City/Town/Village.
