Our Mission To give the best product, to every customer by refurbishing our plotters as close to factory specs as possible, and to surpass our customers expectations. www.plotter4u.com
The Process • The process of refurbishing a Hewlett Packard plotter takes approximately 2 to 4 hours per unit, sometimes even a full day. It is our belief that we do it right the first time, so our customers can have a plotter that will serve them years to come. The following is a pictured guide on that process. We want you to see what every plotter goes through, so that you know what quality time and effort goes into each and everyone of the plotters we ship out. So you have the confidence of knowing you have a great product. www.plotter4u.com
Step 1 • We start by disassembling the plotter, including the belt, spit tune, carriage, encoder strip, and ink capping station. www.plotter4u.com
Step 2 • We check the roller for nicks and ware spots that might impede the operation of the paper advancement. www.plotter4u.com
Step 3 • We take the carriage off and check the belt for wear and tear, we also check the motor for any rubber residue, if this is not removed, it can wear the belt quicker. The one pictured doesn’t have any residue on it. www.plotter4u.com
Step 4 • Next we clean the area behind the carriage and make sure there is no dust or residue from previous use. www.plotter4u.com
Step 5 • We remove the ink capping station to clean the wipers and the cartridge vacuum area. The wipers act like the wipers on a car, they remove the residue during plotting to keep the cartridges clean. www.plotter4u.com
Step 6 • We check the carriage contacts for wear, if it fails our test via the plotter, we replace the carriage. www.plotter4u.com
Step 7 • We then carefully put a new belt on with the carriage, ensuring that it is put on correctly is very important. www.plotter4u.com
Step 8 • We now start to reassemble the plotter, piece by piece. www.plotter4u.com
Step 9 • We start to run the diagnostic tests, and calibration test on the plotter to make sure that all components are calibrated and working up to Hewlett Packard specifications. www.plotter4u.com
Step 10 – Reassembling the casing www.plotter4u.com
Step 11 • Completely clean the outside of the unit for great presentation. Removing as much adhesive and ink build up as possible. www.plotter4u.com
Step 12 – Get ready to ship the unit www.plotter4u.com
