  2. Mission • This organization’s purpose is to improve lives of young mothers and their children, by providing early education, daycare, and preventative care to ensure their wellbeing. We strive to achieve a higher graduation rate among college mothers by making child care more attainable.

  4. Ferris State Statistics • Female students enrolled in 2013 - 6,962 • Applied for financial aid - 6,140 • Reported dependents – 1,065

  5. Vision • To increase the rate of mothers who graduate from college by 5 % at Ferris State University by 2020. Philosophy • Mothers of Education Assistance values a positive learning environment as a means to promote success, advancement, leadership, and knowledge.

First Goal & Objective • Goal: Incorporate a multi-disciplinary approach to educate mothers and children through the use of child care referrals and educational assistance • Objectives • To refer mothers with children to a place for childcare • To choose workers and specific educational backgrounds • To develop a budget

Second Goal & Objective • Goal: Provide comprehensive health care through immunization and health education • Objectives • To provide education material for immunization through state and federally funds • To educate mothers and children by providing classes of how to achieve healthier lifestyles • To incorporate nurses to provide health care for mothers and children
