KEY FEATURES • April 09 – 12, 2013 – Riocentro - Rio de Janeiro – Brazil • 9ª edition • It is the most important defence and security exhibition in Latin America • It brings together Brazilian and international companies • Directed to the three Armed Forces, Police Forces, Public and Corporate Security and Government Agencies

  4. 2011 edition - HIGHLIGHTS part 1/2 • Rapid growth in the exhibition area • Growth in the number of local companies exhibiting: from 91 (in 2009) to 121 (in 2011), double sizing the exhibiting area (m2) • Massive presence of authorities and industry representatives • Opening Ceremony: President of the Republic in charge, Mr. Michel Temer; Minister of Defence, Mr. Nelson Jobim; Minister-Chief of the Cabinet of Institutional Safety of the Presidency of the Republic , General José ElitoCarvalho Siqueira and Minister of Strategic Affairs, Mr. Moreira Franco; besides other Ministers of Defence and Security from 14 countries • The Brazilian Commanders from the three Armed Forces followed an agenda of appointments during the entire event.

  5. 2011 edition - HIGHLIGHTS part 2/2 • LAAD also became reference in the public security sector by hosting for the first time the following police/security board meetings: • National College of Secretaries of Public Security (CONSESP) • 25 Secretaries of Public Security • National Council of Heads of Civilian Police Forces(CONCPC) • 24 Heads of Civilian Police • National Council of Municipal Guards(CNGM) • 15 Commanders of Municipal Guards • As LAAD guests there were: • 19 Commanders-in-Chief of Firefighting Forces • 17 Commanders-in-Chief of Military Police • 1st edition of the Security Seminar
