PODC Mailing List: podc@acm.org • Supported by ACM with listserv software • Owner is currently Gil Neiger • PODC registrants are subscribed unless they indicate otherwise • All postings must be approved by owner • No apparent way to allow postings by subscribers without explicit approval • Recent submissions (e.g., over last year): • Lots of spam (e.g., viagra, PayPal fraud, stock tips, etc.):Blocked by list owner • Calls for papers and for participation for unrelated conferences and workshopsList owner uses judgement to try to block • Calls for papers and for participation for lots of related conferences and workshopsList owner tries to control (e.g., multiple CFPs for 1 conference, last-minute reminders, etc.) • PODC-related announcements and postings from PODC communityList owner approves 18 July 2005 [2]
