  3. Workshop Goals Participants will be able to do the following: • Understand the tubing phenomenon • Make use of tubing videos for the classroom • Create instructional videos • Upload videos for Web sharing

  4. Sample Indicators Grade 2 Present information in electronic format, including text, graphics, or multimedia. Grade 8 Select appropriate file types (documents, sounds, images, and multimedia) based on communication need. Grade 10 Manipulate communication design elements (image, language, sound,and motion) based on intent of the message (e.g., inform or persuade).

Insider Tip:YouTube Workaround • Download and install the Firefox browser (Available at www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox) • Install the Firefox add-on Fast Video Download 1.5 (Available at https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/3590) • In Firefox, locate and begin playing a video on YouTube • Click the Fast Video Download icon in the lower right area of the Firefox browser • Save the flv video file • Convert the flv video file to a WMV video file
