1. Mise-en-scene In our film

2. We felt that it was extremely important to think about the different elements of Mise-en-scene and try to incorporate those elements into our film as much as possible to make our film look better and feel better.

3. Props • Drinks cabinet- we want to have a drinks cabinet featured in the film to represent the noir elements as drinks cabinets used to feature heavily in the old noir films. • Bottle of Bourbon- Bourbon is also representative of the noir era. • Trilbies- We want to add some trilbies in the background as they used to be worn a lot.

4. Costume • The villain – He will wear some form of hooded costume, perhaps a monks robe but if not a hoody. He will also have black trousers and black shoes, all to represent evil. The hood should create a shadow over the face so to create a metaphorical mask over his face to make the character more enigmatic. • The Victim- He will be a bar-man and will wear at first a smart waist coat to represent the noir era and will wear a white shirt to connote good. He will later put on a black trench coat when he goes outside. This once again is reflective of the noir era.

5. Lighting When looking at the lighting the first thing we decided we needed was the use of black and white. We also wanted low key lighting in keeping with the conventional lighting in slasher films. It also helps set the dark mood we wanted for our slasher film.
