DOE Q&A re EOC Schedule 7/11/14: Not all EOCs are on the current DOE schedule for every administration. Can you please tell me… • For fall and winter, will 1st time testers take the old NGSSS Alg 1 and Geom since the new one will not be ready?Even though the Fall and Winter EOC administrations essentially become retake opportunities as we transition to the new Florida Standards assessments, first-time test-takers (e.g., block schedule students) WILL be able to participate in the 2014 Fall and/or Winter Algebra 1 or Geometry EOCs until the new assessments become available in spring 2015. (KS: Consider implications of standards being tested) • For Spring and Summer, has the Geom Retake been phased out? The NGSSS Geom test is being phased out after Winter 2014. • If so, will students repeating Geom for credit retrieval (full year) who will take the EOC again to count as 30% have to take the new EOC? Yes. There will be a linked score to the NGSSS test. • Students will need to take the new Alg 1, Geom, and Alg 2 over the summer as first time testers. Are those tests off the schedule for a reason?A summer 2015 administration is not in the contract with AIR. The next will be Fall 2015, and there will be summer administrations moving forward.
