In the parts of speech adverb play an important role. What is an adverb then?
Adverbs:-Basically, most adverbs tell us how, where or when something is done. In other words, they describe the manner, place or time of an action.
Commonly, adverbs are formed from adjectives. Some are here below;
Many adverbs end with ly. You make these adverbs by addinglyto adjectives. Note: Some words that end in ly are not adverbs. Some adjectives end in lytoo. For Example:- 1. Auya was feeling very lonely last evening. 2. Ondigo is wearing a lovely blouse. 3. It is a very lively lesson.
Kinds of Adverbs Manner Place Time Frequency Purpose/Reason It describes in which manner an action is done. It describes where an action is done. It describes when an action is done. It shows how many times an action is done. It describes the purpose or reason for the action.

Adverbs of Place: Some adverbs and adverb phrases answer the question “where?”. They are called adverbs of place. Examples 1. The kittens are playing upstairs. 2. Charity is in the gardenwith Robina. 3. We’re going to Lietego secondaryfor bench marking. 4. It’s very sunny and warm outside.

Adverbs of Manner: Some adverbs and adverb phrases describe the way people do things. Examples: 1. Deborah answered all the questions correctly. 2. Otwere was driving carelessly. 3. The plane took offsafely. 4. Obed plays the guitar skillfully.
Adverb of manner • They watched the play carefully. • The flower was beautifully made up • Their only cow looks sickly. • Dr. Matiang’i handled the examination carefully
Adverbs of Time: Some adverbs and adverb phrases answer the question “when?”. They are called adverbs of time. Examples : 1. Mr. Warren has already left. 2.We moved into our new house last week. 3. My favorite T.V. program starts at 6 o’clock. 4. I will be going home tomorrow.
