Christians Look to Christ to Guide America

America celebrates its 239th birthday and all the blessings of freedoms that we enjoy as citizens of this country. But America as “one nation under God” is being challenged and compromised. Let us turn to the Lord for His power and strength for our leaders to return to the principles upon which this country was founded. May God’s Word give us some July 4th joy!

Welcome toSt. Peter! • America celebrates its 239th birthday and all the blessings of freedoms that we enjoy as citizens of this country. • But America as “one nation under God” is being tremendously challenged and compromised so much that we need to turn to the Lord as much as ever for His power and strength for our leaders to return to the principles upon which this country was founded. • May God’s Word give us some July 4th joy!

Prayer before Worship • Holy Creator, we thank You for the gift of freedom and the privilege of worshiping You without fear of persecution or arrest. • Defend us from all enemies, foreign and domestic. • Give wisdom to our leaders that their decision would be pleasing to You and for the benefit of all. • Send Your Spirit that we might be good stewards of our land, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
