Site goals • Serve as a place for visitor’s to: • Register for Bruisin’ for Bob’s • Find more information on the event (location, price, what to expect etc.) • Learn more about Bob’s house as well as other ways to donate (money or volunteer). • Easy to navigate/free of clutter • Appealing to the eye/attractive to visitors

Target Audience • Men and women, children/parents – of all athletic ability (13 or older) • Familiar with Bob’s House for Dogs • Pet owners / animal lovers • Potential Sponsors / local business owners • Middle to upper class—able to have excess money to participate/donate • Eau Claire, WI and surrounding area community members

  7. Comparable Site test • We asked users to: • ‘Register’ online • Find general race information • Learn more about the sponsors of each event • How to donate/volunteer • How to contact the race hosts for further questions/concerns

  8. What we learned • Don’t use Flash • Make your page compatible for all devices • No intro/splash pages or music • Know why people are visiting your site • Follow the “F” rule • “Above the fold”

  9. Appearance design • Theme: “Brusin’”, “Fun”, “Dirty” • Appealing to kids • Typography: Lao MN; Stone Sans ITC TT • Colors: Red, Brown, Black • Images: Past races, Bob’s house ‘residents’ • Focus on Desktop computers
