Georgia O’Keefe • Biographical Profile: • November 15, 1887 – March 6, 1986 • She is chiefly known for paintings of flowers, rocks, shells, animal bones, and landscapes. • Married to Alfred Stieglitz, a well-known photographer • She had six siblings—they were all in art classes from childhood. Georgia showed special talent and studied art in high school and went to an art college. • She was an active artist who actually reached fame and recognition during her life time. • She produced works a mere few weeks before her death.
