  3. THE LARGE AFTERSHOCKS WERE SLOW IN COMING • IT IS MORE TYPICAL FOR LARGE AFTERSHOCKS TO OCCUR MUCH EARLIER THAN A YEAR AFTER A M8.8 EARTHQUAKE

  7. SO FAR, DAMAGE FROM 2010’S AFTERSHOCKS MINOR • The first earthquake, which had a hypocenter of about 10 km, was located 70 km from Temuco and 595 km from Santiago. • The second was located 130 km from Concepcion and 325 km from Santiago.
