  3. 24 hours of wall to wall fun • Join our 21st Century Celebrations for our Big Birthday!! • Try great activities and make new friends • Be part of our Centenary service project • Be part of the Region’s largest event ever! Grab a bag and come to..SWWAG!

  4. Arrive midday one day and leave midday the next day: Saturday 7 to Sunday 8 August Berkshire, Somerset & Wiltshire North Sunday 8 to Monday 9 August Dorset, Somerset North & Wiltshire South Monday 9 to Tuesday 10 August Gloucestershire, Hampshire West, Isle of Wight & Jersey Tuesday 10 to Wednesday 11 August Bristol & S Glos, Cornwall & Hampshire North Wednesday 11 to Thursday 12 August Devon, Guernsey & Hampshire East

  5. Where is it all happening? Foxlease Activity Centre, Lyndhurst, Hampshire

  6. What will you need to bring? Small day sack with waterproofs, purse, camera, toothbrush, sun hat & cream, small torch, any medication, sweatshirt Blanket or very lightweight sleeping bagwrapped in bin bag and clearly named. Groundsheets will be provided Packed lunchto eat on arrival at the New Forest Showground and YOURSELF! You will carry your own kit from your coach to Foxlease!

  7. Get your 24 hour SWWAG experience off to a fantastic start: step through 100 years of Guiding on the Time Trail

  8. Have fun in the five fabulous Activity Zones Go global in the GREEN ZONE – ‘GLOBAL AWARENESS’ .....Try your hand at African drumming

  9. Try something new in the PURPLE ZONE – ‘DISCOVERY’ have a go at Rock Pooling!

  10. See a different point of view in the BLUE ZONE – ‘CELEBRATING DIVERSITY’ Try snooker or football and get your strength up for the Tug of War!

  11. Learn and grow in the RED ZONE – ‘SKILLS & RELATIONSHIPS’Trip the light fantastic: try sword or maypole dancing

  12. Look after yourself in the ORANGE ZONE – ‘HEALTHY LIFESTYLES’Take up the: “I’m a Girl Guide get me out of Here!” Challenge

  13. Get adventurous on a Foxlease Activity including: Archery or Abseiling? Canoeing or Climbing? High Ropes or Low Ropes? Or you could even zoom down the Zip Wire!

  14. Prepare to be dazzled at the SWWAG Party…an evening performance and celebration of live music and dancewith a carnival atmosphere! Join the party – celebrate our 100th Birthday in real style!

  15. As day turns to night SWWAG just keeps on going… with our wonderful Night Activities Take in a movie at the Cinema Or boogie at the Silent Disco Go on a Night Hike...or Maybe a Dawn Hike?

  16. Join the SWWAG Campfire or chill out in the Pamper Zone?Play some Bingo, visit the All Night Café or join in with the Wide Game…and then see day break at the Sunrise CeremonyIf you need to you can always take a rest in your Home Marquee (surely not!)

  17. Is there anything else I need to know? Arrival is at the New Forest Showground between 11am and 1pm Participant price is £45 (£20 for adults) All activities and an Evening Meal & Breakfast are included in the price Unit Leader Flyers that can be passed out to girls & parents are available now together with an FAQ sheet on the Region website – SWWAG page

On site facilities Registration tent at New Forest Showground Disabled parking and Registration point on Foxlease site 24 hour security - everyone wears a coloured wrist band 24 hour medical cover - everyone carries their health form Trading posts open from 3.00 p.m. - 11.00 a.m. General Enquiries base including lost property

  19. So, who can come? If you are an Older Brownie, Guide, Ranger or Young Leader, aged between 9 and 16, in August 2010 You can! And your Leaders and Unit Helpers can come too to help make sure that your 24 hours are fantastic!

  20. Adult Leaders • Will have their own 24 hour experience and will join in with: • the time trail walk to Foxlease • the evening meal & celebrations in the main arena • breakfast and the Closing Ceremony • and … help run an activity or help the marshalling staff for part of the session • take a turn at manning your County/Island home and enjoy an Adults Zone with refreshments, trading outlets and somewhere just to take “time out”!

  21. Will you be a 16+ Senior Section member, Leader, Adviser, Commissioner or Trefoil Guild member? • We need your help to run the facilities and activities for whole or part of the week. • You must be CRB checked. • Will you be part of our team? • Yes!
